one other weather issue we are watching is the doppler radar. you might have noticed those cloud fz you look off to the east. the thunderstorm has weakened in the last few minutes, inpacting carp, and that's about it for now. the line is extending very close to mesquite. that's not where the most significant part of the storm is. it has a history of producing some small hail. i think it's going to miss any population, but we'll watch it and have a full update on that and of course our winds in a full weather segment. >> we frawl oaing breaking news here in our valley. henderson fire currently working to put out a house fire, with a live look at the scene right now. the fire started about two hours ago in maryland parkway. you see the damage left behind not just for the building but this car here as well. at its most intense moments an

as of now we have not heard of any injuries or if anyone was inside when the fire started. >> we also have breaking news on the national level. officials have fired first degree manslaughter charge against this woman, tulsa oklahoma police officer who shot and killed a black man after his vehicle broke down on the side of the road. 40 year old terrence crutcher appeared to have his hands in the air when officer betty shelby opened fire. attorneys for o crutcher did not follow verbal commands given by the officer. now there's a warrant out for an officer's arrest. after two nights of violent protests over the shooting death of african american man by police, the city of charlotte this evening is on edge. >> officials are concerned it could be another difficult and dangerous evening there. jay gray is in charlotte with the very latest. >> clean up in the queen's city. up town charlotte battered,

broken after a second night of chaos and violence. peaceful protest over the police involved shooting death of keith lamont scott giving way to riots in the core of north carolina's largest city. dozens clashing with police, some throwing rocks and bottles. stores vandalized and looted. officers using tear gas to try and disperse the crowd. >> this has been a difficult couple of days for the city of shart lt. >> and gun shots ringing out in frubt of the omni hotel, an area that's been a flash point during the protest. one of the protesters was critically wounded shot by another pro tester, according to officers on the scene. investigators, though, are still trying to determine who pulled the trigger. nsks governor has declared a state of emergency and the national guard has been called in. witness saiz scott was unarmed when he was shot and killed by police, but this photo taken by someone at the scene and

the million of people with a yahoo e-mail count you're probably going to want to change your password. yahoo confirm as huge data breech impacting 500 million accounts. in a statement the company says the breech happened some time in late 2014 by what they're calling state-sponsored actors. yahoo's encouraging everybody to review their online accounts and change their password. >> democratic vice presidential candidate tim kaine is in reno toda university of nevada in reno. his 45 minute speech attacked republican candidate donald trump on several fronts. kaine also touched on trump university, calling the whole thing a scam. when he wasn't attacking trump, kaine focused on the recent police shootings and helped to improve community relations. >> there is a need to build better bridges between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

3%. watch the dust start blowing. a couple of clouds over the mountain, here come the winds and there goes the dust obscuring the view of the spring mountains from the south east part of the valley. you can barely make them out there. i like this camera out of day school, we like to call this our wind camera because you can watch the trees doing their dance, and dance they are as they're being jostled round by these winds that in that neighborhood have gusts over 40-miles per hour. northeastern parts of clark county watching for the potential of a couple of thunderstorms just south o watching these clouds build over the next hour to the south of there. they've actually had some decent rain. cadence, a south east part of the valley, that's the strongest gust, 59-miles per hour. they're blowing right now at 38, and look how try it has become. yesterday humidity levels were up round 80%. augusta 57, current wind speed is 36. get your attention. down near rhodes ranch blowing at 32 with a gust of 51.

that wind really dries things out. pick out your neighborhood here and check out the wind gusts. at or even above that 20-mile per hour mark it's those gusts over 50. we've had several right in the downtown corridor over 40. that knocked down a tree. this is on alta just to the north of rancho, blocked the lane of traffic, too. one of the problems we have here in las vegas is that most folks, myself included root water. and the trees have a shallow root structure. so it doesn't require winds to be that strong. we can expect other parts of the country to knock over trees like this. wind speeds out the valley. they've been strong, blowing a 22 right now. not quite as strong, close, but not quite as strong as in town 42-mile per hour gusts the lake 43. wind blowing in some cooler air, the high temperature today so far 84.

tomorrow we will be even cooler with a start that could get into the 50s for the first time in four months. heed heading up to the mid to upper 70s, probably top out at 80. the breezes will back off in the afternoon and by the weekend we're looking pretty good. that storm that's over the lake, we've been watching it sort of fragment with the heavier rain. it's not impacting any populations there. we'll keep an eye on mesquite. we've watched a little cluster right about here that has ve too as it's pushed off to the east. not expecting much at least in nevada. the whole system right there as it kind of pushes through the winds will start to relax. those shift to come out of the north, that's been reinforceed to move colder air. it will lose its grip on us. 31 for the low in the mound tonight. 31 in caliente. at 721 al this morning we had

transferred out of summer no matter which calendar you're looking at. high temperatures tomorrow, 81 in overton, only 86 in laughlin, and death valley joining the double digit party. 59 for the low temperature tonight after 8:00 p.m. it will just be breezy we think the top gusts at that time will be less than 30 and even 80 for the high temperature tomorrow. sure, some left over breezes in the morning, maybe a few gusts over 20-miles an hour, but they the day. 7-day forecast, promising a nice weekend, lows will be in the mid-60s by the time we get to next week, we'll be talking 90s and not talking significant winds. an update on these winds in a few minutes. >> thanks. it's thursday, which means it's thursday night lights and chloe beard is live at sun rise mountain high school. by the end of that live report she could be live about a block over because of the wind [laughter]
